This is an authentic diamond ring, not lab grown. It is considered a mixed cut, the Princess Cut made its debut in 1979. The Princess Cut traces its origins back to the Barion Cut, patented in 1971 by its creator Basil Watermeyer, a South African diamond cutter who named the cut after himself and his wife, Marion.
Featured here is a stunning Princess cut engagement ring. This is a BARGAIN for this quality!! Remember, when you buy diamonds, most of them are truly junk (inclusions with bad color). This princess cut stone is a high grade diamond, not the standard mall diamond -- or any similar in size online. This ring has not been worn for years. I had the ring completely cleaned and reconditioned so it is truly in new condition.
Following is the data from the appraisal I had done in 2011. Since then, it has only gone up in value. The appraisal is included with the purchase.
It measures approximately 5.6 mm by 5.6 mm by 3.9 mm. Weight is approximately 1.00 carat, VVS1 Clarity and I color. Four on each side, invisible set princess cut side diamonds - weight on all 8 diamonds are approximately .40 carats, VS-SI Clarity and H-I color. The ring is also set with 42 round brilliant cut diamonds (weight on all 42 diamonds are approximately .50 carats, SI1-2 Clarity and H-I color). Total weight on the entire ring is approximately 5.62 grams.
*Note: The ring is a size 4. IF the ring needs to be sized, the average sizing fee is $60. Any jeweler in your area can size this ring.

No, never. Stones are porous and will dull and darken with repeated hand washing or bathing while wearing. Only use a silver polish cloth to shine. Message me with any questions on care.
